The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has informed us that Community Grants of $30,000 or less will be executed using a simplified contract in FY19. These letter contracts must be signed anew each fiscal year. To save time, DHHS is sending scanned contracts by email from Maurine Atkinson of the Contract Management Team (CMT).
Please watch your email for the contract and be sure to respond quickly. Sign and scan the contract and email the signed scanned contract back to Maurine at DHHS along with any insurance certifications required.
The DHHS contract team is working hard to be sure there are no breaks in service for programs already providing services under a Community Grant. That can only happen if a new contract is ready and a notice to proceed has been issued by July 1, 2018. Nonprofits can help by responding quickly to emailed contracts.
