Sooner or later most nonprofits will go through a strategic planning process and develop a strategic plan. While there is much helpful literature on when, what and how to do a strategic plan, there is little guidance on what to do afterwards. But how do you make the plan a living process in your organization? This Table for Ten is for nonprofit Executive Directors who have completed (in the last two years) or are nearing completion of a strategic plan. Topics will depend on the interests of participants, but may include:
- Lessons learned in the strategic planning process.
- Keeping the strategic plan alive for the staff and board.
- Methods for tracking and reporting on progress.
Tables for Ten meet three times for candid, confidential facilitated conversations and problem solving. As opposed to a formal presentation, the purpose is to learn from and support each other. This Table for Ten will meet on Tuesday mornings from 8:30-10:00 a.m. on September 26, October 17 and November 14.
Participants must commit to attending all three meetings. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis with priority for Nonprofit Montgomery member organizations.
