2015 was a busy year for Nonprofit Montgomery. We strengthened the county’s nonprofit leadership through programs like FIRM and Tables for Ten. We advocated for inflationary adjustments to base budget contracts, convened advisory committee meetings to the Department of Health and Human Services, and formed teams of nonprofit leaders to meet with the County Executive and Councilmembers. We increased the visibility of the sector, rolling out a new website in July that contains up-to-date news, job listings, and a nonprofit facts page.
After relaunching as an independent effort, Nonprofit Montgomery now has 110 members, who represent the spectrum of nonprofit organizations in the County. As 2016 approaches, we look forward to continuing this work. To get involved, reach out to us. We want to hear from you.
Warmest wishes for a happy, safe, and healthy holiday season!
