City of Rockville Community Development Block Grant Program
The 2022 CDBG Funding application is now open. Application instructions and the application can be downloaded here. The Community Development Block Grant Program is a federal grant for housing and community development projects that benefit low and moderate-income persons. Rockville is accepting applications for an anticipated $263,000 in federal CDBG funds it will receive in fall 2022. CDBG money can be used to provide grants to housing providers for housing and community development projects that benefit low- and moderate-income households or neighborhoods. Fiscal Year 2022 grants will fund projects during July 1, 2021-June 30, 2022.

County Rental Assistance 
Montgomery County will relaunch a COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program for tenants who meet eligibility requirements. The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) will administer the program and accept applications and supporting documents from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18 through 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31. Applications will be reviewed using a random selection method from the final pool of applications received by the deadline.

Maryland Nonprofit Recovery Initiative (NORI)
The State of Maryland will begin accepting applications for the second round of the Maryland Nonprofit Recovery Initiative (NORI) on Wednesday, August 12. The second round has EXPANDED ELIGIBILITY to include nonprofits of any size and with budgets over $5 million. Eligible nonprofit organizations can receive up to $50,000 in grant assistance for operational support. Click here for for more information, including eligibility requirements and application guidelines.

Athleta/Movement Foundation Grant Programs
Financial grants ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 to female, women of color entrepreneurs and organizations committed to making wellness and fitness more inclusive to female BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities.
Covid-19 Financial Relief Grants to fitness and wellness instructors. Up to $1,000 to teachers and instructors who are in need of tools and resources to bring their new digital business idea to life.
Movement-based grants to a variety of young female athletes, from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who require additional resources for mental, physical and emotional coaching.

Nonprofit, Interest-Free, Micro Bridge Loan Account (NIMBL)
This interest-free, micro bridge loan program and fund supports the operations of nonprofit entities. The program is administered by the Maryland Nonprofit Development Center and the Maryland Department of Commerce. The program provides short-term financing support to qualifying nonprofit entities between the award date of a government contract and the actual receipt date of those awarded funds. Click here for more info.
