Crystal Townsend, President of Healthcare Initiative Foundation was awarded the 2019 Montgomery Women Rising Star Award. This award was established in 2005 to honor and memorialize the life of Phyllis Campbell Newsome, an activist and founding member of Montgomery Women. Montgomery Women presents the Rising Star Award annually to a woman who has shown leadership and the potential to make a significant contribution to the Montgomery County community.
