Age-Friendly Montgomery Needs Your Help – Survey on Programs for Older Workers

Age-Friendly Montgomery is working to ensure that Montgomery County is a “community for a lifetime.” As one component of its work, a group of employment experts is collecting information about programs that help older workers find work and stay employed. The data they collect will enable public and private groups to identify gaps and enable them to publicize your programs and those of your peers.

If you offer programs for older workers in Montgomery County or if you know nonprofits that do, please complete the short survey.

National Capital Region Grants Conference

The National Capital Region Grants Conference: Grant Professional Strategies (GPS)-​Successfully Navigating the Waves of Change will be on September 18, 2017 at George Mason University- Arlington Campus, Founders Hall. The conference will guide grant professionals and other professionals in navigating the waves of change brought by a new U.S. fiscal year and new executive and legislative leadership. Click here to register.

FY17 Healthcare Initiative Foundation Grant Awards

From July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017 (FY17) – The Healthcare Initiative Foundation (HIF) awarded $1,481,703 in grants. This comprised of $225,000 in Strategic Sustainability Grants (SSG), $445,000 in Capacity Building Grants (CB), $89,641 in Emerging Needs Grants, $543,889 in Multi-Year Grants, and $178,173 in Small Grants to support organizations in Montgomery County working to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and sustainable healthcare.

HIF’s grants supported (3) three priorities: to build appropriate capacity in the Healthcare Network; to improve the quality and delivery of comprehensive healthcare; and grow a highly skilled, culturally competent healthcare workforce.
