Introducing: Funders Dialogue on Equity
Important conversations about racial equity are happening throughout our region. Montgomery County is developing a Racial Equity and Social Justice Policy, and many regional funders are looking at their policies, processes and grantmaking with an equity lens. As leaders in social justice work, nonprofit organizations have an important role to play in advancing equity in our community.
This Funders Dialogue will be an opportunity for a dialogue with local funders about how racial equity is informing their work with nonprofits. How does it change the expectations of grantees? How can nonprofits be an active partner in this work?
Featured Speakers and Panelists:
- Anna Hargrave, Executive Director, Community Foundation Montgomery County
- Julian Haynes, Maryland Program Director, The Meyer Foundation
- Suzan Jenkins, Chief Executive Officer, Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County
- Nancy Navarro, President, Montgomery County Council
- Crystal Townsend, President, Healthcare Initiative Foundation
- Elijah Wheeler, Deputy Director/Social Justice Director, Collaboration Council
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from funders how they prioritize equity in funding decisions and how you can align your work to be most meaningful, equitable, and impactful.
