Nonprofit Montgomery is providing free technical assistance and consulting related to issues stemming from the COVID-19 crisis to Montgomery County 501c3 nonprofits. Thanks to generous support from the County, Nonprofit Montgomery offers one-on-one consulting.
  • Consultations are open to all Montgomery County nonprofits. To submit a request for technical assistance and consulting, please fill out this form.

County’s Short Term COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program – Applications are now open until June 5, 2pm.

  • Assistance will be based on current household income and total monthly rent amount. Each household is eligible for assistance of up to $500 per month for a maximum of three (3) months for a total of $1,500.

Introducing Mini MORE (Metrics, Outcomes and Responsible Evaluation)

for Nonprofit Montgomery members

This program is intended as a precursor to the regular MORE two-day program and is best suited for small, start-up nonprofits, or longer-term nonprofits who have an operating budget of $100,000 or less. It consists of two virtual workshops, each approximately two hours.

Mini MORE will be facilitated by Sharp Insight, LLC., an evaluation firm that helps mission-driven organizations measure and strengthen the quality and impact of their programs.

When: June 18 and 25, 2020 (1-3pm on both days)
Where: on Zoom
Who: small, start-up nonprofits, or longer-term nonprofits who have an operating budget of $100,000 or less.
Cost: $25 for up to four members of your organization

County’s Telework Assistance Fund: The program is designed to reimburse Montgomery County businesses and non-profit organizations for expenses incurred implementing a telework policy due to the COVID-19 health crisis.

  • The Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) will administer and award grants of up to $2,500 to eligible County businesses and non-profits for verified teleworking equipment and software purchased in response to the pandemic, until the funds are exhausted.
  • The Fund closes this week on June 5. Please submit by Wednesday, June 3.

The Nonprofit Village pays for the county nonprofits and individuals to have free access to the Foundation Directory Online. This resource lists foundations and has data on their funding priorities, recipient profiles, tax returns and board connections, for fundraising prospects. Typically available only in our office, NPV has been granted a temporary license for remote access. To access the database, register here and you have the direct access until August 31. New COVID-19 Data Dashboard
The dashboard provides information on hospitalizations, the number of patients in intensive care units (ICU), and the number of ventilators in use, as well as previously available information regarding the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths. This information will help guide the County’s decisions on when to lift its Stay-at-Home Executive Order.

PPE Available for County Businesses

This online store is available for all Montgomery County Small Businesses looking to purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Businesses will need to provide an EIN Number with a Montgomery County MD Address.

The Telework Assistance Program – There’s still time to apply!

  • Applications must be submitted by 5:00 pm on Wednesday each week to be considered for that week’s lottery. Applicants who are qualified but not selected in the  lottery will be included in the upcoming weekly lottery.
  • This process will continue until June 5, unless funding runs out prior to that date.
