FIRM Financial Leadership Institute is specifically designed for Executive Directors, Finance Staff and Board members of nonprofit organizations serving residents of Montgomery County. This 2-day intensive workshop with follow-on tutorials and support provides the strategic framework and practical tools needed to strengthen your organization’s financial leadership and management. Join the ranks of over 150 nonprofits that have attended this high impact workshop.

Beyond Charity by Nonprofit Montgomery provides a detailed picture of Montgomery County’s nonprofit sector and its economic and social impact.

501cTECH and Tech Impact Merger

501cTECH a nonprofit provider of technology support is merging with Tech Impact, a nonprofit technology services organization and the operator of an award-winning IT training program for underserved youth. The expanded organization will be known as Tech Impact and will provide technology support and services to nonprofits nationwide.

Join Nonprofit Montgomery’s Advocacy committee and play a part in developing and delivering our advocacy agenda. We will hold a monthly conference call the second Wednesday of each month at 3 pm, starting on July 13. Join the call to make your voice heard as we advocate for nonprofit organizations and the residents we serve.
Each month we will update you on upcoming issues of interest, gather feedback on advocacy positions, and provide guidance and opportunities for connection as you advocate for issues related to your individual organization.

It’s Time To Join/Renew Nonprofit Montgomery

June 30 marks the end of Nonprofit Montgomery’s 2015-2016 membership year. Thanks to the support of our members and funding partners, it has been a successful year of advocacy, programs, capacity-building, and visibility for the nonprofit sector here in Montgomery County.

Among this year’s successes:

  • FIRM Financial Leadership Institute trained 78 staff and board members at 32 county nonprofits to manage their organization for financial sustainability
  • Three FIRM Alumni programs: Working with the County, Working with Funders, and Cybersecurity
