The 2023 Project, a strategic planning process that will develop a model gubernatorial transition plan for the next administration that lays the groundwork for an impactful four years, with policies and principles that serve all Marylanders. The project will use community-informed collaboration to develop administrative and policy priorities that meet the needs of the people, and promote accountability and transparency in Maryland state government. This is a candidate-neutral, non-partisan project that will provide support and guidance to the next administration and establish accountability measures to track implementation of recommendations.

They are asking organizations to contribute to the project by joining a workgroup and helping organize additional workgroups. If you’re interested in contributing to a workgroup, please fill out this survey.

Mobile Markets Montgomery County – Five openings!

Capital Area Food Bank has openings for Five monthly Mobile Markets in Montgomery County. Mobile Markets are a free food distribution that works with the help of  community members and organizations, such as social service agencies, places of worship, community centers etc. The focus of MMs is to provide fresh produce. This three-part series for leaders of small staff (2-5) will discuss topics including, but not limited to strategic planning, board relations, fundraising, best practices in internal controls, or other critical issues.

When: Tuesdays, September 20, October 4, and October 18 from 9:30am to 11:00am
Location: Java Nation, 11120 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852 (outdoors)
Who: Nonprofit Montgomery members. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

About Table for Ten:
Table for Ten meets three times for candid, confidential facilitated conversations and problem-solving. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis for members only. Participants should plan to participate in all three sessions. These facilitated peer-to-peer sessions offer an opportunity for nonprofit executives to connect around issues of importance to them and their organizations.

This grant provides $250,000,000 in funding support for target hardening and other physical and cyber security enhancements as well as activities to eligible nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of terrorist attack.
