Title: Youth Developer
Program: MMYC Montgomery County Mentoring
Reports to: Mentor Program Manager

SUMMARY:

The Latin American Youth Center’s Maryland Multicultural Youth Centers (LAYC/MMYC) in Montgomery County serves youth and young adults ages 17-24 by providing GED instruction, Job Readiness Training and life skills workshops, and wrap around supportive services. The Full Circle Brotherhood (FCB), led by the Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) in collaboration with the YMCA trains formerly out of school male youth to mentor middle school boys. The program emphasizes the social and emotional development, school success, and healthy behaviors of both mentors and mentees. Mentor Forward (MF) is a newly launched program which pairs adult volunteer mentors with younger mentees and builds community through connections with youth, mentors, families, and partners.
