Capital Improvement and Emergency Capital Improvement Project Grants New! 
Capital Improvement and Emergency Capital Improvement Project Grants assist arts and humanities organizations complete projects that involve structure or physical plant repairs. Capital Improvement Project Grants are contracted directly though Montgomery County Government’s Department of General Services, not the Arts and Humanities Council. Apply by January 16, 2018.

New Grant Opportunity: Caplan Foundation for Early Childhood

The Caplan Foundation supports programs that research best child rearing practices and identify models that can provide creative, caring environments to ensure all children thrive. The Foundation provides funding in the following areas: Early Childhood Welfare, Early Childhood Education and Play, Parenting Education. The Foundation employs a two-step grant application process that includes the submission of both a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) and a Full Proposal..The next deadline for submitting a LOI is January 31, 2018.

Greater Washington Community Foundation Winter Grants Round

The winter round of grant opportunities for nonprofit organizations serving the Greater Washington region is now open. Applications are being accepted for grant opportunities through the following funds:

  • The Community Catalyst Fund has issued a call for ideas on solutions that support poverty disruption through wealth-building, impact investing, and other strategies that provide economic opportunities for low-income residents of the Greater Washington region.
  • The Spring Creek Environmental and Preservation Fund supports local nonprofit organizations with a demonstrated track record in successfully preserving, protecting or encouraging sustainable use of exceptional natural or built environments in the Greater Washington region, particularly those environments affecting low-income populations.

2019 Community Services Grants Program
The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services is accepting applications for theFY19 Community Services Grants Program. The submission deadline Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 3pm. A pre-submission meeting is on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 4-5pm at DHHS, 401 Hungerford Drive, Conf. Room 1A/1B.

RSVPs for the pre-submission meeting is encouraged. Email or call Alma Laxa at (240) 777-1211 by November 17.

HIF FY18 Capacity Building Grant Application Open

Healthcare Initiative Foundation’s FY18 Capacity Building Grant application is now available online. HIF will be offering technical assistance opportunities on October 17, 23, and 30. Organizations can sign up for a 45-minute session via the Doodle Poll.

Grant applications are due by December 1 at 5pm. As part of the review process, grantees with qualifying applications will be invited for an interview during the week of December 18-22. Organizations may sign up for a time slot here.
