New Minimum Wage Legislation

In April, Councilmember Marc Elrich introduced legislation calling for an increase of the county’s minimum wage to $15/hour by 2020. The public hearing is scheduled for June 21, 7:30pm. Nonprofit Montgomery will be at the hearing to testify that this legislation should be accompanied by increased county government contract terms to support the increased wage costs that nonprofit organizations will bear.
