7th Annual Dialogue between Nonprofit Leaders and County Department Directors

Nonprofit Montgomery’s 7th Annual Directors Dialogue is a community conversation for executives in the nonprofit community with the Directors of Montgomery County’s Departments.

This gathering is an opportunity for the Department Directors to share budget and policy priorities and where they see their departments heading in the next fiscal year. Plus, this provides nonprofit leaders with an early chance to react and to share what they are seeing and experiencing in the community.

County Procurement Forum, October 5

The Montgomery County Office of Procurement is having a forum on October 5 from 8:30am-12:30pm at the Silver Spring Civic Building. The forum will include information about the procurement process and how to write a proposal. Representatives from upcoming local projects will also speak. Seminar: Understanding Health Coverage Options for County Residents

The landscape of health care coverage for County residents is complex and changing. The good news is that there are many health care options. Please join this collaborative effort to equip you with the latest information on Medicaid, Qualified Health Plans, and County health programs. This interactive seminar will help providers:

  • Understand current options and eligibility;
  • Prepare clients for successful enrollment;
  • Improve service delivery, decrease frustration and help clients access the care they need;
  • Build relationships with other providers and OESS staff.

Who Should Attend: Case managers and eligibility workers from health care and human services nonprofits.

Table for Ten: Leadership in a Changing Healthcare Environment

Table for Ten will focus on the role and strategies of leaders who must balance the needs of their Board, staff, patients and partners while working to improve the health of their communities. The discussion will be facilitated by Sharon Zalewski, Executive Director of the Regional Primary Care Coalition.

Tables for Ten meet three times for candid, confidential facilitated conversations and problem solving. This Table for Ten will meet on Tuesdays this fall: September 27, October 25, November 29 from 9-10:30am. Participants are asked to commit to all three meetings.
