Keeping your head when all about you are losing theirs
In Partnership with the City of Rockville and the City of Gaithersburg
Every nonprofit needs a plan for a worst-case scenario. If the roof collapses, the CFO empties the bank account, or someone is injured while in your care, you need to be prepared with a plan. Nonprofits count on public trust and goodwill, both of which can be damaged by a poorly managed crisis.
This workshop will teach you what you need to know to develop a crisis communications plan, including:
- understanding the news cycle
- the role of social media
- who speaks for the organization
- preparing key messages and talking points
- ongoing communication with important audiences
- salvaging your reputation
Tuesday, July 24, 8:30am-12:30pm
