Provides grants annually to local organizations that partner with the city to support human services access in the city. The Fiscal Year 2024 Human Services Nonprofit grant application period is now open. All grant applications and attachments must be received by the City of Rockville Community Services Division by Friday, January 6, 5:00 pm.
To encourage the submission of quality applications, a staff member from applicant organizations must attend a mandatory technical assistance session. Visit the Human Services Nonprofit Grant webpage for more information.
Montgomery County Government: FY23 Targeted and Specialized Mobility Operating Grant Program
The focus of the grant program is to provide direct services and/or support that improves the delivery of transportation related services for: Individuals who are disabled, Senior residents, Individuals with low or limited incomes.

National Science Foundation: Racial Equity in STEM Education
This solicitation aligns with the National Science Foundation and the Directorate for Education and Human Resources long-standing investments in the development of a diverse and well-prepared public and workforce, which was recently reinforced in the NSF Vision.

The ECE Workforce Advocacy Coalition will be meeting on December 15. If you are interested in learning more about advocacy around ECE and how the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future is being implemented in the county, please contact us to join this meeting.
The Latino Child Care Association (LCAM) will be hosting an information session in Spanish about the Maryland EXCELS Program with personnel from the MSDE December 7 at 7:00pm via Zoom. The purpose is to deliver and gather information from Spanish-speaking family child care providers in the state. LCAM is working with the MSDE to plan free statewide workshops in Spanish next year to promote participation in the program and to support providers who are working towards moving up in the quality rating system. The Montgomery County Department of Transportation is soliciting grant applications for the County’s FY 2023 Targeted and Specialized Mobility (TSM) Grant Program from qualified nonprofit organizations providing direct transportation services in the County. The County Council approved $800,000 for a joint capital and operating grant program with $640,000 for capital projects and $160,000 for operating projects. At present, the County Council has made this funding available for one year so all funded activities must be implemented within 12 months. The deadline for applications is Wednesday December 28, 2022 at Midnight.

We are in the FY24 County budget season, and County Executive Elrich’s budget forums are in
full swing. Please consider joining one of the budget forums to speaking up for our sector. Sharing the impact of your work makes a difference. Nonprofits not only provide services to the vulnerable but also build community and innovate solutions to challenging social problems. And, that work cannot happen without a true partnership and investment from the County.
Suggested talking points: Your mission, who and where you serve, why it is important that you are able to continue to provide services, and how you leverage county dollars to attract additional funding.
Questions you can ask: 1. Can we ensure that nonprofits receive an annual increase that is on par with that given to County employees? 2. How can we provide more opportunities for grant funding to smaller, newer organizations and those that are led by people of color and/or have not received grants from the County previously?

City of Rockville: Community Organization Grant
The City of Rockville provides grants annually to local organizations that partner with the city to enhance the quality of life of Rockville residents. Nonprofits supporting the advancement of education, community engagement and other activities that benefit the community are welcome to apply. Applications due: December 16
Community Empowerment Matching Grant: The City of Rockville offers these grants to neighbors and organizations who are willing to match funding through cash, in-kind donation and volunteer hours. Applications due: January 27, 23.
2022 Farm to Food Bank Program: Capacity Building Grant
Assist Montgomery County-based food producing farms purchase equipment, and/or build food production capacity and infrastructure in order to contribute to the Montgomery County Farm to Food Bank program in 2023.
TD Charitable Foundation: Non-Profit Training Resource Fund
Through this TD Charitable Foundation funded program, nonprofits can receive a grant for approved training to increase their organization’s capacity and skillset.
