Grants & Funding Opportunities – Week of February 9, 2022
Montgomery County Emergency Food and Shelter Program Grant:
- The Montgomery County Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) is accepting grant applications for funding to supplement and extend current resources for emergency rent, mortgage, utility, food, and shelter assistance in Montgomery County. This year an unprecedented amount of funding, more than $1.8 million, will be awarded.
- The application is due Friday, February 11, 2022 at 5pm.
- Attendance of the online virtual training is no longer a prerequisite to apply for the grant. Here is a copy of the deck that was presented. Please reach out to Linda Frazier with any questions.
Montgomery County Community Grants:
- The Montgomery County Fiscal Year FY23 Nonprofit Cost Sharing Capital Grant application is open for submissions with a deadline of February 14, 9am. The info session was earlier this week and the recording and deck are on this website.
The Venable Foundation
- Provides funding for place-based organizations and initiatives, meaning that organizations must be based in or impacting regions where Venable has major offices. Venable is accepting proposals for its 2022 grant cycles. Application deadlines are February 1, June 1 and September 1. Click here for more information on priorities, eligibility and how to apply.
The City of Takoma Park: Community Quality of Life Grant
- Provides financial support for specific programs, projects, and events that improve the quality of life for city residents by providing greater access and opportunities for participation in the arts and sciences. Applications are due March 11, 2022.
