Montgomery County Emergency Food and Shelter Program Grant:

  • The Montgomery County Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) is accepting grant applications for funding to supplement and extend current resources for emergency rent, mortgage, utility, food, and shelter assistance in Montgomery County. This year an unprecedented amount of funding, more than $1.8 million, will be awarded.
  • The application is due Friday, February 11, 2022 at 5pm. 
  • Attendance of the online virtual training is no longer a prerequisite to apply for the grant. Here is a copy of the deck that was presented. Please reach out to Linda Frazier with any questions.

Montgomery County Community Grants:

  • The Montgomery County Fiscal Year FY23 Nonprofit Cost Sharing Capital Grant application is open for submissions with a deadline of February 14, 9am. The info session was earlier this week and the recording and deck are on this website.

The Venable Foundation

  • Provides funding for place-based organizations and initiatives, meaning that organizations must be based in or impacting regions where Venable has major offices. Venable is accepting proposals for its 2022 grant cycles. Application deadlines are February 1, June 1 and September 1. Click here for more information on priorities, eligibility and how to apply.

The City of Takoma Park: Community Quality of Life Grant

  • Provides financial support for specific programs, projects, and events that improve the quality of life for city residents by providing greater access and opportunities for participation in the arts and sciences. Applications are due March 11, 2022.

WorkSource Montgomery: Workforce Recovery Network Request for Proposal

  • new funding opportunity for nonprofits  that deliver workforce development services to Montgomery County Residents.
  • Funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, WSM has released the .
  • In this first year of funding, WorkSource Montgomery has $1 Million available and anticipates award amounts ranging from $25,000 to $100,000. Requests over $100,000 will not be reviewed and scored. Click here for more information.

Montgomery County Community Grants: FY23 Nonprofit Cost Sharing Capital Grant

  • The Montgomery County Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23) Nonprofit Cost Sharing Capital Grant application is open for submissions. Applications are due February 14, 2022 at 9am.
  • There is a simplified Cost Sharing Capital Grants application process for FY23. While nonprofit Cost Sharing Capital Grants have been awarded in the past without a one-to-one match, projects that secure matching funding have traditionally received more awards.

The Greater Washing Community Foundation: The David Bradt Nonprofit Education Fund

  • The David Bradt Nonprofit Leadership Award will grant between $5,000 to $15,000 for leaders to participate in professional development programs that will enhance their leadership, creative thinking, strategy, and management skills.
  • The selection committee will have a two-stage process. The first step is to submit a Letter of Interest using the online form by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22.

DHHS: 2023 Community Services Grants Program

  • The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services is now accepting applications for the FY 2023 Community Services Grants Program.  The deadline for submission of the FY 2023 applications is January 28, 2022.

City of Gaithersburg: Community Service and Educational Support Grants

  • The City of Gaithersburg will be offering 1-year Community Service Grant awards with the option to award for an additional year, as well as 1-year Youth Enrichment Grant awards.

The Tory Burch Foundation & Fearless Fund: Women of Color Grant Program

  • They will award up to 150 deserving small businesses $10,000- $20,000. In addition, you will be awarded access to a peer network to help you continue to build and grow your business. Don’t miss your chance! Complete the entry form by February 9, 2022,

Montgomery County Emergency Food & Shelter Program Grant 

The Montgomery County Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) is accepting grant applications for funding to supplement and extend current resources for emergency rent, mortgage, utility, food, and shelter assistance in Montgomery County.

  • This year an unprecedented amount of funding, more than $1.8 million, will be awarded.
  • Applicants must have an existing program in the category for which they are seeking funding.
  • These funds cannot be used as a substitute for other program funds or SEED money (money raised by a business in its infancy or early stages) to start new programs.
  • The EFSP Board will determine how the funds will be allocated among the emergency rent, mortgage, utility, food, and shelter assistance programs.

IMPORTANT DATES

  1. The application deadline: Friday, February 11, at 5pm. 
  2. There is a virtual mandatory orientation will be on Thursday, February 3, at noon. Information on applying, including the application itself, will be provided to interested agencies at the orientation. Click here to register for the mandatory orientation.

The Audubon Naturalist Society (ANS) is looking for an Audience Engagement Manager to help reach our audiences through a variety of communication vehicles including traditional media, social media, email marketing, the web, surveys, and personal interactions.

The goal is to share the value of ANS’s mission and programs as well as to hear and understand the needs and desires of our varied audiences. An essential component is communicating the ANS brand to diverse communities in positive and authentic ways. This position is onsite at our picturesque Woodend Nature Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, MD. Some duties are eligible for telework.

The Montgomery County Food Council just released the 2022 Montgomery County Food and Beverage Guide. The Guide is available as a downloadable PDF and interactive searchable Guide.

The Guide features includes 18 farms, 17 bakeries/confectioneries, 16 prepared goods producers, 15 craft beverage producers, 4 non-alcoholic beverage producers, 3 meat producers, and 2 honey producers.

We’ll review key elements to consider when approaching survey design and then walk through Sharp Insight’s survey design template. The template is intended to ease the survey design process while efficiently identifying the alignment between survey items and survey objectives. It can even help kickstart your data analysis plan right from the start of your survey process.
