Montgomery County DHHS/Asian American Health Initiative
The Asian American Health Initiative has launched Healthy Communities Fund to accomplish this goal. In partnership with the Primary Care Coalition of Montgomery County Maryland Inc. (PCC), AAHI and PCC seek to fund programs in behavioral health, senior wellness, and health & social support services.

This Request for Proposal is to solicit applications from eligible organizations to provide health services to Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in Montgomery County Maryland.

  • Applications open:  September 1, 2022
  • Application deadline: 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

Many Hands Grant: Grant funds must be used to serve women, children, and/or families in socioeconomic need. There are four grants each year, one in each of four focus areas–economic empowerment, education, health, and housing.

WorkSource Montgomery: Workforce Recovery Network 2.0
This funding opportunity is intended to support the expansion of existing workforce development programs serving Montgomery County job seekers and small businesses. Funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, WSM intends to expand our WRN by adding 10 new partner organizations to our existing network. Program models should be proven, innovative, and contribute toward Montgomery County’s local workforce recovery efforts through the provision of workforce development services to residents and small businesses negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE): Maryland Rebuilds
Maryland Rebuilds is a grant opportunity designed to support the state’s child care system in utilizing federal funds to stabilize, strengthen, and sustain the child care system and mitigate the impact from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE): Therapeutic Child Care Program Grant
This new grant program will incorporate the services originally provided under the Medically Fragile grant. This grant will provide funding for non-profit, health/medical-based, child care in coordination with early education services to children with medical/special needs requiring specialized care.

Montgomery County Government and the Chesapeake Bay Trust: Clean Water Montgomery
This grant program to support watershed restoration and outreach projects throughout Montgomery County. This program aims to promote initiatives and projects which will improve water quality in Montgomery County’s local streams and waterways through public engagement, education, and on-the-ground restoration.

Montgomery County Government: FY23 Abortion Access Grants Program
The County’s Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of Grants Management are seeking applications from qualified Community Based Organizations (CBOs) providing direct services that support the right to access abortion care in the County.

City of Rockville: The Community Development Block Grant Program is a federal grant for housing and community development projects that benefit low and moderate-income persons. Rockville is accepting applications for an anticipated $263,000 in federal CDBG funds it will receive in fall 2023. This funding is a subset of the Montgomery County CDBG program, that is designed for nonprofits serving Rockville residents.

Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County: COVID-19 Relief Fund

These grants are intended to provide opportunities for improving capacity and infrastructure of the local food system in all aspects of food recovery, and for innovative and collaborative approaches to reducing food insecurity. Montgomery County’s vision of food security is a community in which all people, at all times, have access to safe, sufficient, and nutritious food, with dignity.

Girls on the Run of Montgomery County: Program Director
The Program Director is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Executive Director. The role requires demonstrated experience in successfully managing all aspects of program operations and relationship management. Salary: $65,000-$70,000; commensurate with experience, plus benefits

Latin American Youth Center
Deputy Director: The Deputy Director has both internal and external facing responsibilities, ranging from client and project management to reporting, and human capital. Salary: $ 75,000 –$ 80,000, plus benefits.

Bilingual Case Manager: The Bilingual Case Manager is responsible for providing participants with one-on-one mentorship, case management services, and social emotional learning workshops as well as assistance and referrals to needed services. Salary: $45,000-48,000 plus benefits.

Workforce Development Specialist: The Specialist will facilitate and lead curricula offered to youth ages 16 to 24 as a part of a collaborative project called MoCo Reconnect. Salary $45,000-49,000 plus benefits.

Washington Area Women’s Foundation: Open Positions

Director of Development: The Director of Development will also drive the development and execution of strategies to build the foundation’s funding base of philanthropic, corporate, and government support, including expansion of individual support and unrestricted funding. 8 – 10 years of experience and salary range up to $125,000.

Development Manager: The Development Manager will work as part of the development team to implement the development plan and strategies to ensure that the organization reaches its annual revenue target and is working toward its long-term fundraising goals. 3 – 5 years of experience and salary range up to $65,000.

Development Associate: The Development Associate will work as part of the development team to implement the development plan and strategies to ensure that the organization reaches its annual revenue target and is working toward its long-term fundraising goals. This position will be part of a new development department of two other team members with plans to expand to six in a few years. Minimum of 2 years of experience and salary up to $50,000.

2022 – 2023 Community Advocacy Institute

The Community Action Board’s Community Advocacy Institute is a FREE program that provides County residents with the opportunity to learn and utilize advocacy skills. Successful completion of the program includes attendance at all monthly workshops and completion of an advocacy project (testifying before County Council or submitting a letter to County Council). Mobile Markets are a free food distribution that works with the help of  community members and organizations, such as social service agencies, places of worship, community centers etc. The focus of MMs is to provide fresh produce. Strengthening the Evaluation Capacity of Nonprofits in Montgomery County

Nonprofit Montgomery’s MORE Training will help nonprofits learn about evaluation, and offer a deep dive into measuring impact and gauging program effectiveness.

MORE will help organizations develop strategic approaches to data collection and analysis, and guide them in developing metrics and to analyze program outcomes to improve service delivery. Participants will develop their skills and make concrete plans to measure the results of their work.

MORE will strengthen your organization’s capacity to measure results by:

  • Assessing your organization’s capacity for evaluation
  • Identifying external data and resources to strengthen evaluation efforts
  • Engaging in meaningful dialogue about evaluation with key county funders and government leaders.

We’re excited to have Maryland Center on Economic Policy’s President and CEO Benjamin Orr present on what nonprofits can do about state level advocacy.

We’ll learn what’s in the state budget and why it matters to you, get an overview of the new state budget process and who makes decisions about how to use our shared resources, and gain tips on how you can engage with state policymakers to help shape budget decisions.

Governor’s Child Care Stabilization Grant Program – Round 3
This funding opportunity is designed for licensed child care providers. Applicants may be a family home child care provider, a large family home child care provider, a child care center, or an education program under a Letter of Compliance.  It is not the intention of this program to fund the start-up of new child care programs that are not yet operating. This Grant Information Guide (GIG) and Application release – August 3, 2022. Applications are due no later than 11:59 p.m. on August 29, 2022.
