The University of Maryland is hosting an advocacy training Institute. At the Institute, nationally recognized policy advocates will help participants navigate the federal policy-making and funding process and link that process to advocacy opportunities at the federal, state and local levels and create and deliver effective messages for policymakers and the public. The Institute’s inaugural in-person training program will take place September 23-25, 2018. The training will be conducted near the University of Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C.
