On January 31 at a reception attended by nonprofit leaders, County Council members and their staff and other government leaders, we released  “A New Vision for Nonprofit and Government Collaboration,” a document developed from those meetings.

The vision document outlines how nonprofits and government can continue to work together to make Montgomery County a place where all residents can thrive.  The vision document calls on government partners to involve nonprofit leaders in decision making, emphasize resident-centered services, prioritize impact over output, foster collaboration over competition, and support a sustainable nonprofit sector. It has been endorsed by 50 nonprofit organizations.
