On June 14, 2016, the County Council will hold a public hearing to discuss proposed legislation to create a Five Year Strategic Plan to End Food Insecurity in Montgomery County. Several Nonprofit Montgomery members such as Manna Food Center and MCCH are planning to testify. These food assistance organizations will make the case that a multi-stakeholder approach to creating innovative strategies, coupled with sufficient public and private resources, can make food security a reality for all of our neighbors. The public hearing will be held on June 14, 1:30-3:30pm in the Third Floor Hearing Room, 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville. Please attend in support of your peers and the residents they serve.
